editHe worked as a correspondent for Turkish Radio and Television Corporationin Kabul for four years. He is a reporter at The Independent since 2020.
Sohrab Omar is a member of the International journalists Association. The International Journalists Association is founded by journalists that advocate freedom of the press. The association, headquartered in Frankfurt, Germany , has a total of 206 members who are journalists from 21 different countries.
He has translated and writed 30 children's storybooks in Afghanistan. Besides, He s a children's rights defender. Sohrab Omar also translated 8 books in persian. The books he translated contains scientific, sociological, democratic and anti-extremism subjects. In these books the author encourages the exchange of ideas and beliefs, global peace, universal values and condemnes any kind of radicalism, extremism and terrorism. Omar holds a BSc in Highway Engineering.
