Dr. Dennis Takarainda Chibozwa Nyamuswa held the position of Deputy Minister and Minister of Finance in Zimbabwe. He is a Doctoral Graduate from Fairleigh Dickinson University and a Master of Science degree from Yeshiva University in New Jersey and New York respectively. He successfully gained the support from the local and international organisations that the current Rhodesian legislation was illegally excluding Africans to vote for their legislative bodies. The Rhodesian government had unlawfully occupied Zimbabwe and inculcated an apartheid government which gave the native population no voting rights. In a landmark decision his party was victorious in becoming the first Indigenous population to vote in 1979. His legacy remains as a legislator who encouraged fiscal stewardship, business, self employment and a positive stance on space exploration.
