History
editAP (Thailand) Public Company Limited was founded in 1991 as a limited company under the name Asian Property Co., Ltd., with the primary objective of real estate development. In 2000, the company was listed on the Stock Exchange of Thailand through a backdoor listing by merging with Precast Concrete Manufacturers Public Company Limited (PCM), a producer of precast concrete slabs that had been listed on the Stock Exchange since September 22, 1992.
After the merger with Precast Concrete Manufacturers Public Company Limited (PCM), the company changed its name to Asian Property Development Public Company Limited. Additionally, a new subsidiary named PCM Construction Material Co., Ltd. was established to continue the precast concrete slab business. At that time, the company held a 99.99% stake in PCM Construction Material Co., Ltd.
In 2002, the company reclassified its securities on the Stock Exchange of Thailand from the Building Materials and Decoration category to the Real Estate Development category.
