About me
editMy name is Sarah Sherman Clark (she/hers) and a GLAM enthusiast formerly from Los Angeles now residing in Massachusetts. I am a librarian/archivist/collections manager, with a Master's in Library and Information Science and a Bachelors's in Art History. My interests include art and artists, architecture and architects, design and designers, notable women, Southern California, and Cape Cod. I strongly believe that women and marginalized communities need more representation on Wikipedia and want to change this. I am very passionate about free access to information, especially open knowledge. And I think controlled vocabularies are pretty darn awesome.
Conflict of interest statement
editI am currently employed at Heritage Museums and Gardens in Sandwich, MA, which celebrates the landscapes and cultural heritage of Southeastern New England and Cape Cod, and inspires people of all ages to explore, discover, and learn together. Prior to that, I worked for 15 years at the Getty Research Institute, a cultural institution per WP:GLAM that is dedicated to furthering knowledge and advancing understanding of the visual arts.
I follow editing guidelines specified at WP:GLAM. My intent is to make edits that are beneficial to the goals of Wikipedia. If my edits are deemed not beneficial, I will modify my edits based on problems cited by other editors or if my edits conflict with Wikipedia guidelines. I welcome editors to contact me, via my user talk page, if I appear to be going against Wikipedia etiquette or editorial guidelines.
