The Mosque Resistance
editThe mosque Resistance[1] was built in town Arachinovo in year 1999 by the Albanian-Muslim residents of Arachinovo by donations from wealthy families and other residents who contribute even with meals for the workers. It was stopped in 2001 because of conflict between the Albanians and the Macedonian government. The mosque got destroyed thru bombing the town by the Macedonian government forces in June 2001[2]
Later on in the year 2003, it was completely rebuilt and the basement was renovated again by the Albanian Muslim community, giving her the name Resistance - (Qëndresë- in Albanian).
The mosque has 2 minarets that are 72 meters high and the same object is crowned with silver cupola.[3] what makes the highest building in the town.
