Weerasinghe Peiris (born February 21, 1948), is a Sri Lankan musician and composer[1] and the owner of the popular kids YouTube channel in Sri Lanka called Prabath Creations.[2] He has two sons, Dr. Prabath Peiris and Dr. Nishan Peiris.
Music
editWeerasinghe Peiris released an Album in Malawi (Central Africa) in 1996 call "UFO"[3]. There were 8 songs in the album where all the songs were composed and lyrics penned by him[4][5]. In 2011, he released a Children Album comprising of 16 songs called "Punchi Punchi Tharu" which had songs in Sinhala, Tamil, Wadi and English languages. All the songs were composed and written by him.[6] Thereafter, he also composed 2 songs for the album Nepa-Sri which was released in Nepal and sung by his son, Dr. Prabath Peiris in Nepali language.[7]
