Brad Barker

Brad Barker ("Kidnap & Rescue") is the President and founder of The HALO Corporation, a California-based organization founded by former Special Operations, National Security and Intelligence Personnel, providing safety and security for those in need. [1] HALO's main goals are to improve force protection, as well as all aspects of security, humanitarian aid and disaster response. Their vision is to improve the global community by protecting those that cannot protect themselves, helping the helpless, and instilling confidence and knowledge through training.[2]

In Kidnap & Rescue, Discovery Channel's newest series highlights the efforts of those with training and education to save the likes of a child sold overseas, a DEA agent abducted by a drug cartel, a high-profile executive taken for ransom, or hundreds of other real-life terrifying situations. They are the true stories of abduction, rescue, and recovery, told by those who are on the front lines, risking their lives to bring these victims back to safety. [3]Part of a team of global experts in the fields of security, technology and curriculum development for Homeland Security studies, Brad Barker began his service to the United States Government when his former U.S. Special Operations team deployed to Hurricane Katrina. Today the HALO Corporation has three divisions: Operations division, Science and Technology and Training and Education. Through these branches they support the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, the Department of Justice and the Department of Defense as well as several corporate and private sector clients. [4] The HALO Corporation also encompasses a major emphasis on counter terrorism, risk management and threat mitigation.

Brad Barker is on the Board of Directors at the National Institute for Urban Search and Rescue and speaks regularly at counter terrorism and security summits across the globe. He is also a contributing author of National Security Threats in Cyber Space, From Gun Violence to Civic Health and Contemporary Piracy: Consequences and Cures.
