I contribute to pages on Computer Science, Mathematics, and people. I like to expand on the lives of notable, but lesser-known, scientists, public servants, and artists.
Current contribution program: To get Wikipedia up to date on Canada's current research institutions and people, with a focus on Artificial Intelligence. The steps needed here are:
- Create a Vector Institute (Canada) page and a Schwartz-Reisman Institute page.
- Expand on Amii (research institute) and Mila (research institute).
- Fix the mess that is Canadian university scientific research organizations, Canadian government scientific research organizations, and Canadian industrial research and development organizations
- Give Pan-Canadian Artificial Intelligence Strategy its own page.
- Go through the pages of all current scientists and update their links.
Side Projects:
- Research and expand on the lives and works of almost forgotten ragtime musicians. Added to Pauline Alpert. TODO list includes: William Polla, Tom Turpin.
- Fill in gaps in the theory of artificial intelligence, starting with Differentially Private Stochastic Gradient Descent.
- Create Category:Computational Social Choice, adding all the existing relevant pages, and start to fill in the gaps in the current theory by creating a page on Distortion (Voting Rules).
Repository of Sources (ongoing):
- http://www.ragpiano.com/ragtime4.shtml and http://www.ragpiano.com/ragtime4a.shtml are good lists of notable ragtime pianists, many of whom aren't on wikipedia.
