Maine Damage born Jermaine Manigault in Queens, New York is a classic artist of many mediums. Damage is most known for his work as a musician, emcee, songwriter, arranger but he is also a founding member and CEO of the artistic collective Mind Standards. Though Damage is most known as a musician he is also a photographer, street artist, longboarder and poet but most importantly an artist that doesn't let genres or cultutal boundaries limit his creativity.

Damage's musicial career began at the age of 16 when his father passed away. During this period he went into isolation and did nothing but extensive music research and began playing guitar & bass, as well as writing songs. Following his new passion to make music he was introduced to Billy Kennedy in high school by a friend and following a three hour conversation about music, the two decided then and there that they would make music together. Kennedy and Damage have been in a numerous bands together but nothing seemed to work until they started working with each other solely, so the two started Mind Standards. Mind Standards which started as a band expanded into an artistic collective which consist of musicians, photographers, directors, artists, longboarders, skaters, poets, programmers, & fashion designers.

Maine Damage is currently prepping the release of both Billy Kennedy's "Downtown 500" and his own "Unable To Relate" solo EPs which are set for a mid-2011 release. Other than working on the follow-ups to the debut EPs, Damage is also working with Mind Standards' newest member T.E.V.I.N. as well as artwork with Cannon for the Mind Standards Gallery Show.
