28 April 2006 Indefinite ban for joke "legal threat"!

edit

On WP:ANI User:Prodego pointed out this diff which reads You are not alone. Out there, many others have been blocking with out Arbitration Committee. We filing class action lawsuit against Wikipedia, join would you? Cannot violate our rights, Wikipedia can. we must stop them, before they continue to censor vital info plz???? thx.

J then indefinitely blocked the author of this "threat"!

This action was speedily remedied by a more perceptive admin. Ironically, the post to which J took such drastic offence was titled "Illegal blocking"!

2 May 2006 Abusive block

edit

J blocked User:Fluffy999 for making personal attacks. However, he then posted to WP:ANI a long and rather odd explanation in which he claimed that he couldn't find another admin, stating: The guy has a serious problem. Whether he is a troll or merely someone with a mental illness that impaired his judgment is up to guesswork — though my gut feeling was the former.

Surely if you are going to block someone for personal abuse it is not wise to then engage in exactly the same behaviour?

8 May 2006 Vandalism?

edit

J reverted (he spends a lot of time reverting) a week-old edit to Diana, Princess of Wales, labelling his reversion "remove vandalism". Adding "Lady" to Diana's title is hardly vandalism. In fact it sounds like a good faith edit, even if technically incorrect. This is vandalism. See also a series of reversions of edits made by User:Le baron such as this one described as vandalism. J gave a final warning for vandalism, which must have come as a surprise to an editor who thought he was adding legitimate material to Wikipedia.

10 May 2006 Permanent Ban for revealing personal details

edit

J permanently blocked User:IslamJew for supposedly revealing personal identities. And protected his user page. This from the admin who revealed Skyring's name and address on his talk page and then when it was removed by another admin, replaced it and protected the page. Seems that rules are "strictly enforced" only when it suits him! Use:IslamJew's list of contributions is empty. --Surgeonsmate 04:27, 10 May 2006 (UTC)

21 May 2006 Personal attack

edit

J described another editor as "one prize asshole". Not sure which editor he was talking about, but the timing indicates User:Pnatt, who is supposedly abusing other editors.
