I am an assistant professor of organismal biology/zoology at Winston-Salem State University. My research emphasizes social behavior in invertebrates such as fiddler crabs and ants, and in schooling fish. I have published 13 papers on ecology/marine biology since 1997, including one on shrimp and crab ecology off of coastal New Jersey, three on fiddler crab social behavior, and numerous articles on fish schooling behavior. I hold a B.A. and an M.S. in Biology from Rutgers University and a Ph.D. from the University of South Carolina. I have been conducting scientific research in ecology/marine biology since 1994.
