Supriti Ghosh, is a Bengali playback singer who has sung many Bengali Modern and film Songs. She was a eminent Singer specialising in Bengali Modern Songs and Rabindra Sangeet. Her notable songs was published in 40s, 50s, 60s which was known as peak period of Bengali Modern Songs.Her Bengali family was musical with a rich, cultural and musical heritage. Her most notable song in Mahisasuramarddni Bajlo Tomar Alor Benu was popular and is still sung. Mahisasuramardini (Bengali: মহিষাসুরমর্দ্দিনী, The Annihilator of Mahishasura) is a widely popular early Bengali radio programme that has been broadcast since 1931[1] on All India Radio (AIR) in Indian state West Bengal. It is a one and half-hour audio montage of Chandipath (chanting from Chandi) recitation from the scriptural verses of Sri Sri Chandi or Durga Saptashati,[2]Bengali devotional songs, classical music and a dash of acoustic melodrama.
