Format
editMost of the names of the format are derived from the Japanese classes, in order as follows (for a seven-battle competition system):
- "Frontman" (先鋒戦, "Senpōsen")
- "Vice-frontman" (次鋒戦, "Jipōsen")
- "Fifth-level general" (五将戦, "Goshōsen")
- "Middler" (中堅戦, "Chūkensen")
- "Third-level general" (三将戦, "Sanshōsen")
- "Vice-general" (副将戦, "Hukushōsen")
- "General" (大将戦, "Taishōsen")
In a competition consist of three battles, Frontman, Middler and General are often used, though the Third-level general, Vice-general and General are sometimes used. Five-battle competition uses the first three plus Vice-frontman and Vice-general in-between the three battles.
