The Battle of Mameshah was a significant 3-day conflict that took place on Mameshah Hill between Iranian Forces and Mahabad Republican Troops on June 13, 1946. In particular, 13 peshmerga under the command of Halil Xoshevi participated in the war. This force was later reinforced with 30 Peshmerga and increased to 43 people. At the end of the day, the Iranians retreated, suffering heavy losses.[1][2]
