MANIPULATION OF MASSES, the use of methods that control or influence people in order to achieve a specific goal. This is a common practice in politics and businesses. Usually people with powerful and superior positions or influential positions take advantage of their subordinates for their own benefit. The main objective is to convenience the masses that a certain idea is good or to brainwash masses so that they behave as the leader or manipulator wishes. The influence may either be positive or negative and can either be aggressive or swift. Manipulation of masses is parallel to propaganda as they are both aimed at achieving a particular goal. The difference between these two is that Manipulation Of Masses is usually short term whereas propaganda is long term. People such as Edward Louis Bernays(November 22, 1891 – March 9, 1995) supported Manipulation Of Masses as he argued that to progress in a particular Endeavour there has to be a leader and followers as 79% of the human race has shown that it cannot work without supervision or constant reminders.

Manipulation of masses is usually through media, the internet and verbally usually at organized meetings such as rallies. Prominent people such Adolf Hitler and Martin Luther King believed mainly in organized meetings as a way of spreading their ideas and theories to their followers. Manipulation of masses is psychological which then leads to action hence strikes, attacks and organized attacks. Manipulation of masses usually influences masses that are unaware of the particular issues being discussed by the manipulator or if they do the manipulator offers them something in return for their loyalty else they will face the consequences of going against the wishes of the aggressor. During the World War Hitler killed disobedient soldiers and he Jews that did not obey him, however he could not have done it by himself he had to convenience the Nazi followers that the Jews were their minors and could do whatever they wanted with them.

The Manipulation of masses allows one or a group of people to be superior and the other group inferior. It causes division amongst the human race which usually leads to wars and tension and even more damage amongst masses. Religion also involves the Manipulation of masses usually a certain religion thinks that it is better than the other this is mainly because of their minds that are indoctrinated with the wrong ideas. Manipulation of masses has done more evil than good, looking at Hitler during his reign more than 3 million Jews were brutally killed during the Holocaust, the Rwanda genocide war between the Tutsi and the Hutu killed over half a million people. Most African countries are in crisis because of the leaders manipulating their people, the masses for their own benefit. A large number of people have been killed; democracy has been shattered due to the manipulation of masses. Manipulation of masses is main reason for genocide, political violence, xenophobia and related situations. The human race has been robbed of its rights by the Manipulation of masses.
