Zia Chishti, 45[1], is an American entrepreneur. He is the founder and CEO of Afiniti, the US-based artificial intelligence company[2][3]. Afiniti combines artificial intelligence and big data to pair customers and agents in contact centers based on behavior.[3]. Afiniti closed its Series-D fundraising round in May 2017 at a $1.6B valuation, and is rumoured to have filed for an IPO.[4][5][6]
Previously, Zia founded and was the CEO of Align Technology[7][8], the manufacturer of 3D digital scanners and clear aligners used in orthodontics, which he founded with Kelsey Wirth whilst a student at Standard business school in 1997[9][10][11]. Zia left Align in 2004[12] after the business went public on the Nasdaq Stock Market on January 26, 2001[13]
Zia was listed as one of America’s top 50 bachelors in 2001 by People Magazine.[14]
