Aloha
editI grew up in England - a cold rainy island - but was forced to emigrate to the States at a tender age by my parents.
Fortunately, freedom of choice happens sometime after you're an adult (or at least able to break the fiscal slavery of your parents) and I eventually found a warm and rainy (if you live on windward side) island.
Work Life
editI'm an engineer. Need I say more? Worse yet, an electrical engineer...
Pursuits
editI'm an avid roadie and enjoy biking Oahu roads when they are (occasionally) not too crowded. This can be a challenge =;-) I did the Honolulu Marathon and am slightly addicted so it looks like New York is in the offing in November. I used to teach kayaking and canoeing but a shoulder injury skiing mean I have to get my water kicks elsewhere. Sometimees I swim Kaimana out to the wind sock.
Beliefs
editI'm involved in reef conservation and energy conservation non-profits. Why do we in the U.S. use twice as much energy per capita as any other nation? We don't have to (prove it to yourself & get out of your SUV!) are paying the price today...
