Grek Monecascheller, the famous fictional character from the best selling novel, Space. The book is loosely based around outer space, and the people on board the ship are trying to find civilisation. However, they have been searching so long, they have accepted that this is how they live now and have started to form their own ways of living. Grek Monecascheller is from the wealthy faction and he falls in love with Lyra Nomonehpoorgurl. This is forbidden in their society but Grek and Lyra don't agree.
Grek Monecascheller starts out as a character who cannot fend for himself as growing up in a privileged society meant he hasn't needed to. But after meeting Lyra he learns and starts to develop new habits. "Grek", the author says, "came from inspiration of my late grandfather. He fought in the war and although he seemed to have all he would ever need to those on the outside, he was still chasing after one thing. Love. That is where my inspiration came for the main character Grek, with his combined sense of humour and fighting spirit, I just knew he would be a hero".
