I am a 19 year old boy that lives in a small town near Seattle, Washington. I am a sports fanatic that played multiple sports in high school and loves to coach, basketball in particular. I know how to play the piano but my skills are very limited. I enjoy outdoor activities, such as bike riding, running, and my most favorite, hiking. I plan on attending community college for 2 years and then transferring to a four year college where I can pursue my career in teaching. My plan is to go back and teach at my old high school, but for now I work and go to school.

Introduction
editI visited the backboard(basketball) page on Wikipedia, and found three aspects of it worth commenting on: it's lack of citations, lack of information, and it's good use of links
Citations
editThere are very few citations on this page. If there were more citations and resources to go to, it would be a more reliable source. There are three resources at the bottom that show very little information
about the backboard. It doesn't have a new and improved resource, the most up to date resource is in 2013. They do not have links to see what they do now for backboards and if they have new materials
or not.
Information
editThere is only a little history and measurements. Also, there is only one sentence of uses, there's not much to read about the backboard. The page could use a little life and more information for the reader.
I would have liked to seen a little story on how the backboard came into play and why, because basketball didn't always have a backboard.
Good use of links
editThere are many links within the passage which helps the reader understand what they are reading. I clicked on the Indiana Hoosiers gym link to understand where the first glass backboards were first used.
It has links to things that a non basketball player or someone who is familiar to basketball, such as links to the NBA and basketball page. It makes the page look better when it has links on it, as a reader, I
like to click on links to further my knowledge on the subject, I appreciated that this article has links.
Summary
editI would say that this page is what it needs to be, but should have more. I believe it gets the point across of what a backboard is, but it doesn't give enough information about the history or the uses today. It just explains what it is. It is beneficial to read this if you want to know what a backboard is, but I think it could be a whole lot of a better read.
