Crisis on Infinite Earths (1985—1986)

edit

The initial twelve-part series was published between April 1985 and March 1986, to commemorate DC's fiftieth anniversary. In Crisis on Infinite Earths, a powerful entity called the Anti-Monitor is unleashed on the DC Multiverse. The Anti-Monitor wishes to become the sole ruler of all realities, and begins to destroy the various Earths that comprise the Multiverse. Amid the chaos, factions of heroes and villains are set up. However, they are united by the Spectre to fight the Anti-Monitor.
