Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest is a 1995 side-scrolling platform game developed by Rare and published by Nintendo for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES). It is the sequel to Donkey Kong Country (1994), part of the larger Donkey Kong franchise, and follows the chimpanzee Diddy Kong and his girlfriend Dixie Kong as they set out to rescue the kidnapped Donkey Kong from Kaptain K. Rool and the Kremlings. Diddy's Kong Quest builds on the gameplay of its predecessor, featuring 52 levels in which the player collects items, defeats enemies and bosses, and finds secrets on their journey to stop K. Rool.
