Pentire is an indie band from South East England, that formed in 2018. The band often compares their music styles to those of Catfish and The Bottlemen, as well as Harry Styles and The 1975[1]. The band expanded their pre existing fan base through their activities on TikTok, and also by supporting other bands on their tours.
Pentire is made up of four members. Jack Morgan on vocals and rhythm guitar, Owen Seymour on lead guitar, Jacob Beswetherick on bass, and Josh Blake on drums.
The band's first single 'Obsessed' was released on June 13th 2019, with their second single 'Take It Away' November 1st of the same year. Whilst the band has yet to release a full album, they have 5 more singles;
- 'Belly Dancer' released 22nd May 2020,
- Best Friend's House released October 9th 2020
- 'Water' released April 9th 2021
- 'How Would Someone Else Do It?' released 3rd September 2021
- 'Plastic Flowers' released 26th November 2021
as well as another single 'Watch Time With Me' releasing 24th March 2022.
The band Played on BBC Introducing and Radio 6, boosting their fan base to new heights, even being described 'as ones to watch[2]'.
Pentire partook on their first solo tour in 2021, following the release of 'Plastic Flowers'.
