Boundary Road is a major north-south transportation route in the cities of Vancouver and Burnaby in British Columbia, Canada. It also serves as the boundary between eastern Vancouver and western Burnaby. Along with Kingsway, the road was one of the first major routes outside of the early townsites of Hastings Mill and New Westminster.
The road spans the Burrard Peninsula north/south, connecting the north arm or channel of the Fraser River at its southern extremity with Burrard Inlet at its northern terminus. The southern section, between East 29th Avenue and the Fraser, was called Park Street for a period between 1910 and 1929.[1] This referred to Burnaby's Central Park, which abuts Boundary Road. Since 1950, the portion north of Dundas Street is officially Boundary Road North.[1]
