The term Celewake pronounced Selee-wake is a commonly known slang term for an individual who chooses their end of life care plan to be conducted as a celebration of life wake event.
An individual will usually make pre-planned arrangements so that family and/or close friends have clear instruction listing their end of life care personal preferences to be carried out at the celewake.
This can also be an expression of how an individual would like to be remembered by their loved ones.
