The Early Days (2002-2004)

edit

Since day one, Fallen From The Sky has written the music they wanted to write, and focused on the road they wanted to pave. The band came together in the city of Boca Raton during the spring of 2002. The punk rock outfit's original line up included singer Ryan Loughney, drummer Giancarlo Aservi, bassist Marcus Kora, and guitarists Eric Jazvac and Ky Morland, with a sound similar to the Movielife, Rise Against & Hot Water Music. After spreading their name around their home state of Florida through the usual rounds of touring, festival appearances, and even some local radio airplay, the guys released the five-song EP I Understand...But Goodbye in December 2003, marking the beginning of their touring carrier.

JMB Records (2004-2006)

edit

Fallen from the Sky hit up part of 2004's Vans Warped Tour before signing with South Florida indie label JMB Records that November, their second EP Tune Out the World (2005) was released shortly after and then reissued the following April through SONY's RED Music Distribution. Relentless touring continued as well as a limited-edition vinyl 7" for their song Victims released in February 2006 on Anchorless Records/JMB Records, same song that would also be featured on the soundtrack of the X-Box 360 game Prey released in july. By the fall, the FFTS had qualified into the Top Six of finalists for the MTV2 on-air contest Dew Circuit Breakout 2006, alongside bands like Halifax and I Am the Avalanche. Fallen From the Sky ultimately took second place (Halifax took top honors), an impressive accomplishment that pumped the band up as they toured and geared up for their next album.

Eulogy Recordings (2007-2009)

edit

Fallen From The Sky kicked off their year by being included in AP magazine's "100 Bands You Need To Know in 2007," followed by a short stint on the Vans Warped Tour that summer. 2007 also brought the departure of bassist Marcus Kora, Who was replaced by Hazen Zirenger right before the band signed to south florida's indie power house Eulogy Recordings. FFTS kicked off 2008 with a whole lot of touring including the Victory Records Young Bucks Tour (Secret Lives! of the Freemasons, Across Five Aprils, Red I Flight), A Day To Remember & My Children My Bride tour & Dead Hearts' final US Tour, amongst others in support of their full length Tonight We Radiate released in May 2008. Also contributed to All Aboard: A Tribute To Johnny Cash on Anchorless Records with their rendition of the song Country Boy that October. The hectic touring schedule led guitarist Eric Jazvac to part ways with the band in order to pursue a tattooing carrier, FFTS recruited south florida scene veteran Justin Berke in his position.
