Park City School District educates about 4,500 students who live in and around Park City, Utah. It operates eight schools - four elementaries, a middle school (grades 6 and 7), a junior high (grades 8 and 9), a high school, and the Learning Center (which runs a high school day program, an after school program and an adult program).[1]
History
editPark City schools were closed for three weeks during the 2002 Winter Olympic Games.[2]
Labor relations
editPark City School District has experienced occasional labor disputes. In 1990 the teachers went out on strike over a proposed merit pay plan.[3]
As of June 2011, the Park City School Board had not reached a negotiated agreement with the teachers. [4]
