Technical high school "Gani Cavderbasha"

The technical high school "Gani Cavderbasha" in Prizren is founded in 1967. The first course that was teached there is construction.The courses were tought in Albanian until 1991. Due the war that tooke place during the 90s, the teaching proces was held in private houses. Only after the finishing of the war, the students could countinue the classes in the school object. During this period of time, throught the german organization CIMIC, was made the prepair and adjustment of cabinets. And the teachers were trained for two weeks in HVK, Koblenc, Germany. In 2003 were opend three pilot profiles :

• Electroinstalution;
• Authomechanism;
• Wattersupply and sewage institute.

The school has totally 2210 student, from wich ethnically 1357 (89,27%) are albanian, 95 (6,25%) bosnian, 52 (3,42%) turks, 12 (0,79%) roma, and 4 (0,27%) ashkali. Lectures are held in three languages:

• Albanian;
• Bosnian;
• Turkish.
