This page in a nutshell: This article is intended as humor. It was found in the article Dr. Mario back in Sept, 2007. I removed it and just discovered this humor section to put this in. |
Controversy
editCritics often question the validity of “Doctor” Mario’s license to practice medicine. Further critics question the ease of which patients can obtain custom drugs, by simply describing their symptoms. Several ethics panels consisting of trusted medical practitioners have been assembled to determine Mario’s competence and credentials, but none have ever taken action. Many insiders believe this is primarily due to the sentimental feelings all members of the Mushroom Kingdom feel for the man who saved their princess and kingdom.
Leading psychologists have come forward to express their opinion on Mario’s career change from plumber to doctor. The consensus at this time is that Mario suffered extreme posttraumatic stress syndrome, brought on by the thousands of murders Mario has committed in his numerous crusades. As an attempt at redemption, Mario is attempting to pass himself off as a healer and caregiver of those in need.
With this unwavering dedication, Mario’s personal life has suffered dramatically. Princess Peach left Mario for his brother Luigi, “who was always there in the background doing his job while Mario took the credit.” The unexplained death of Yoshi has often been attributed to an overdose, as Mario prescribed drug after drug to his old companion.
