I am the founder and the Chief Visionary Officer of Blitz Bureau, a youth group striving to improve the Human Development Index of the nation by the achievement of Millennium Development Goals MDGs, currently implementing Social Action Projects (SAP) in collaboration with the Youth Parliament of Pakistan and British Council’s Active Citizens Program. Eventually I wanted to become a “Mechatronics” Engineer but when I felt that the society is lacking the values that are required to progress and prosper no matter how much the nation progresses in the field of science and technology, if the humans aren’t happy its not worth it. Therefore I chose Cognitive Sciences as my educational path and I am aspired to study philosophy particularly axiology.
I am currently enrolled in BS Psychology at Virtual University of Pakistan. I am a trained counselor in the field of drug addiction and HIV from United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime and Family Health International respectively. I attended the Regional workshop on “Increasing the knowledge of (prison) inmates on drug use HIV/AIDS and ways to reduce potential risk” conducted by UNODC ROMENA (Regional Office for Middle East and North Africa) and UNAIDS MENA RST (Middle East and North Africa Regional Support Team) held in Cairo, Egypt and became the youngest HIV specialist in the prison systems.
As the CVO of the Blitz Bureau my topic of interest are strategic planning, participatory trainings, Life Skills Based Education and life coaching and motivating masses!
In 2007 I started my career in a local NGO as an out reach worker in a HIV prevention program intended for transgendered population I eventually rose to become a drug counselor in 2008 for United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime being deployed in the Central Prison Karachi where I successfully established a self help recovery system among the inmates, peer education network and advocated the provision of human rights among prison staff over there. I successfully observed the World Drug Day in Central Prison Karachi a one of kind event in history of the Pakistani Prison System.
I love to play Real time strategy games and considers them to be excellent in-formal educational systems. I am a Youth Parliamentarian and coordinator of the District Youth Assembly’s Networking team, I also served as the Event Manager in Association of Social Studies Educators and Teachers (ASSET) a not-for-profit organization working for teacher training.
