I, Hans Thulesius [1] discovered wiki January 2005. I love the idea of accessing global free knowledge and anyone editing it.
I've so far written and edited articles mostly on grounded theory and PTSD in both English and Swedish with data from my academic research. I am a Swedish post-doc researcher (dissertation Jan 8, 2003)[2] in family medicine and public health. B. 1959 in Gothenburg and living in Växjö. Working half-time as family physician and half time research consultant. The internet info resources I use most are apart from Google, dictionary.com [3] and PubMed [4] the world largest database for medical science (paid for by "Uncle Sam"). PubMed together with British Medical Journal have consolidated my free internet knowledge fascination.
Incentives to work in a welfare state
My latest research project deals with incentives and driving forces to work or stay at home on sick-leave in an environment where the monetary incentives are small due to an extensive welfare remuneration system. Non-monetary incentives, both positive and negative, to work or not seem more important than what I could ever have imagined. Examples of the most powerful non-monetary incentives are joy, fun, shame, and guilt.
