Who is ti99_forever? Well, it is me. I've used this name almost forever (sorry for the pun) with Yahoo mail... My given name is Ben Yates.
I've been an owner of a TI-99/4A since May 1982, if I remember correctly. I've been active in many of the TI discussion forums over the years, and written some programs. These include:
Dezip (a program to unzip ZIP archives... I wrote this in 1989, and then PKZIP came out with a newer version a year later... took too much memory. So it is compatible with PKZIP 2.x, not 3.0.
TRS-80 graphics viewer - there was a hi-res graphics adapter made for the TRS-80 models III & 4. Graphics were in an /HR (hi-res) or /CHR (compressed hi-res) format. I wrote a simple program to display these on the TI screen, with unique viewing options (including what at the time I considered a "fast overlay" mode).
I took a turtle graphics unit written by one Anders Persson (sp?)... there are a lot of people with that name... and compiled it into a UNIT for use with the TI UCSD Pascal system.
I took a soundlist utility from Home Computer Magazine and improved upon it so that you can create soundlists, save them, load them in Extended BASIC and have the music execute using the built-in soundlist interrupt in the console.
I mainly wrote utility programs, many of which I have apparently forgotten ;)
