A YouTube Poop is an Internet phenom found on YouTube. They are usually videos posted on YoutTube that are usually nonsensical and random [1]. The first video was released in 2004 on sheezyart. With the popularity of YouTube increasing, the popularity of YouTube Poop increased as well and became one of the major effects of the remix culture.
Origin
editYouTube user SuperYoshi posted the video "I'd Say He's Hot on our Tail" on November 27, 2006. Although it didn't have the YouTube Poop brand name, it was unofficially the first YouTube Poop. To date, the video has had 144,476 views since its release.
Running material
editMost YouTube Poops use random material that are either Internet memes or other notable material.
- Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog- Several parts of the cartoon series have been used.
- Aladdin- The most notable Aladdin YouTube Poop has been "Aladdin Commits Suicide".
- Arthur- The cartoon series has numerous parodies including "Arthur's Massive, Throbbing Hit" and "Arthur Kills D.W."
- Barney & Friends- There are numerous videos in which Barney is labeled a pedophile.
- Billy Mays- The late advertiser is used in videos that have themes of commercial failure, perversion, drug use, and death. The most notable is Billy Mays- Suicide Putty, which has also beome a recurring theme as well.
- Caillou- The cartoon has been remixed with swear words, most notably in the cartoons of MrPoopMeister, like "Caillou Takes a Bath" and "Caillou Meets Some Animals".
- Chocolate Rain- The popular video is used in many of the Poops as background music or a topic.
- Dragon Ball Z- The infamous line "It's Over 9000!" is used in many of the YouTube Poops.
- Dr. Rabbit's World Tour- Many videos have parodied or used content from this Colgate-sponsored educational video. Dr. Rabbit is used with themes of profanity, racism, perversion, evil, and stupidity.
- Ed, Edd, 'n' Eddy- Content is used.
- PINGAS!- A mashup of a line from Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog said by Dr. Robotnik: "SnooPING AS usual I see." Many people have cut the line to sound like penis.
- Sonic Sez- The segment at the end of the cartoon episodes of Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog are parodied. The most common edition that is made fun of is whn Sonic warms children to not be inappropriately touched.
