|statement = The "Editors Reminded" section of ARBPIA4 recommends that editors use ordinary [[WP:DR|dispute resolution]] procedures to resolve disputes, but then the ARBPIA General Sanctions remedy denies the use of those procedures to IP and ECP editors even though they can take part in talk page discussions. As a long-time participant in content dispute resolution here, this seems to me to be self-defeating when the purpose of dispute resolution is taken into consideration. In particular, at [[WP:DRN|Dispute Resolution Noticeboard]] participants in a dispute are invited to continue their discussion in structured form at the DRN noticeboard with a view towards the parties coming to a consensus that they could not reach on the article talk page. If some editors in a discussion are prevented from participating at DRN then no consensus can be be reached there that is certain to "stick" once it's taken back to the article talk page.
