PREDICTIVE TEXT

Read this at your leisure....My older @2014 IPad did not have this Predictive Text function. But the newer one...under Settings--->Keyboard, there is a little "slider dot" where one can activate Predictive Text which also helps with spelling, of course!

I up-inherited my first, older Ipad from my niece...and thought it would be terribly expensive to purchase a new model. When I purchased the new one @ 2 years ago, I opted for 128 GB of memory, (to store movies and books) which cost (according to my poor memory) an extra $100, total @ $425. It can access local WiFi, but is not an Air model with "cellphone" WiFi access capacity.

But an Ipad with less storage was only approximately $325 or so. Well worth it, if you need to upgrade to a device that enables you to enjoy editing with less frustration. Administrator Highlighting

Go to Wikipedia:User scripts/List (which has good instructions), and look under For Editing ---> Discussion Oriented. I think I am using "Admin Highlighter....a rewrite of User:Amalthea/userhighlighter.js that was based on User:Ais523/adminrights.js.", but I changed the color from cyan to yellow. My old eyes require something bold. When I began editing in 2016, I attempted to avail myself of all the bells & whistles that I could comprehend. Anyway, the Admin Highlighter saves a great deal of time, versus checking editor's user pages to see "who's who", which was what I did in the beginning! I discovered this because I was unaware that -40 C and -40 F is an intersection point between the two scales and therefore thought "this cannot be correct". The ref did not support, of course, so I asked User:Cwmhiraeth about the 40/40 problem. The temperature intersection was then explained to me, but I was still troubled by the 2014 ref problem and chose to "bother" a different editor, User:Colin who posted the note here. User:John P. Sadowski (NIOSH) worked in good faith, of course, and I deeply appreciate User:mikeblas resolving the reference problem. But I am concerned for upcoming edits/editors, and the possibility of this type of problem occurring in other articles. Is there is a way to warn others, who might make the same GF mistake?

Perhaps it seems weird to you, but please consider the importance of some of your other exact words: "So, someone chose the username "SithJarJar666" (this is StarWars-speak for "attention, I am going to fuck around on your wiki")" [1] Does my username speak of a dangerous and vicious predator, or a house cat who comforted a poet? [2] I dislike the characterization of our usernames. In my country, people have been treated with prejudice, because of their names, (or their skin color). I implore others to address an editor's actions, and only their actions, not judge them by their usernames.

In my limited imagination, I always thought that a "hoax" would concern an entire article of an absolutely imaginary historical event, person, or some scientific information, which had been placed on WP as a bit of a joke, and a way to fool our well-meaning editors. A despicable sort of joke, IMO, designed to make WP look foolish. Here, we have a real person, but (previously, at least) it seems that some/much of the biographical info was overblown hyperbole or outright fabrication, and this is the hoax. Now, we seem to have a hoax within a hoax, someone who appears to have fabricated their death. As noted in the Fabrication section, parts of the bio don't make sense...a hoax. But we are making an honest, "non-hoaxy" report (I trust) of facts concerning fraud, sexual offender, and his purported, but disputed death. I wish there was a way to make this distinction in the article banner...

The reason something is classified as a conspiracy theory is that it requires the existence of a secretive all knowing, all powerful and all evil cabal in order to be true. Otherwise it is merely speculation. Conspiracists are able to hold their beliefs against evidence because they believe that the evidence was created ==by the cabal in order to hide the conspiracy.
