I am Tim and I am Turin07, which is a moniker I've used on sites since the 90's. It is from Tolkien. Turin, son of Hurin, Turin Turambar, The Dragonhelm, The Black Hand, and Glaurung's bane. The story of Turin, his father, and his family is part of the Silmarillion and a story built over many years in short bursts and long draughts, like Wikipedia. LOL. (see how I tied that in?)
Anyway, I am a long-time fan of Wikipedia, from it's inception. I have contributed to it since 2003, before there were arch-angel editors. It was literally egalitarian in the beginning. I do not argue with the need for oversight though. Now that universal truth is assaulted by whims and ignorance.
What I enjoy most about Wikipedia is not writing articles, or rewriting articles. I enjoy correcting grammar and syntax. Adding supporting info. Just making others contributions better while trying to preserve their work. Go Mariners!
