Design-manifesto — a preliminary description of the project characteristics, architecture and core set of design patterns, with no referencing to specific technologies and platforms.
In general, the design-manifesto prevents errors in the specifications and eases development and maintenance of software.
In Agile software development it's a roadmap of the project, reference document for developers and customers.
