PCP
editThe organochlorine PCP (pentachlorophenol, C6Cl5OH) is a wood preservative biocide:
PCP → TCH → TriCHQ → DCHQ → 2,4-dichloro-3-hydroxy-cis,cis-muconic semialdehyde
Degradation
editPCP is degraded by some bacteria, including Spingobacterium chlorophenolicum[1]
