2011 kiss-in at the John Snow

In 2011, two men were allegedly removed from the John Snow pub in Soho, England, for kissing one another.[1] In response, one of the men who were ordered to leave—Jonathan Williams—shared his experience online, and a kiss-in was organised for 15 April; some 300 people attended, which shut the pub down for the day.[1] Another was held on 21 April, which again shut down the establishment.[1]
