A kiss-in is a form of protest where participants, usually LGBT people, kiss one another to demonstrate their sexual identity.
Origins
editProtests
editIn 2011, two men were allegedly removed from the John Snow pub in Soho, England, for kissing one another.[1] In response, one of the men who were ordered to leave—Jonathan Williams—shared his experience online, and a kiss-in was organised for 15 April; some 300 people attended, which shut the pub down for the day.[1] Another was held on 21 April, which again shut down the establishment.[1]
