Since Dabuto ventured into the prestigious field of politics in 2004, He has successfully contested and won the election held on 2004, for the position of Councilor, representing Gudu-Mboi Development Area in the year (2004-2007). He also served as supervisory Councilor of Works and Housing (under the distinguish Administration of Dr. Mustapha Saidu from 2007-2009.
Family Background
Musa Hassan Dabuto was born on 1st November 1969, in Peyazi Song Local Government Area, Adamawa State (then Gongola State). His father Mallam Hassan Dabuto was a trader and farmer, and as well as a native tribe of Mboi. His mother Aminatuh (Amina) was also a farmer. Mallam Hassan Dabuto is a middle class man in Mboi nation, history has it that Dabuto was among the first settlers of Peyazi village in Song Local Government Area. He lost both of his parents before he became successful in life.

Education: Mallam Hassan Dabuto was an advocate of western education, at the age of 8, Musa Hassan Dabuto was enrolled into elementary school in Dadde,then Sintri Tumpa primary school Dadde (1977-1983). After completing his Elementary school in the year 1983, he was admitted into Government Teachers College, Song Local Government (GTC Song) in the same year due to his extraordinary capacity and quest for knowledge alongside 10 pupils. He graduated from secondary school in the year 1988. After rigorous scrutiny then he obtained three grades in the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) and National Examination Council (NECO). After completing his O-Level education, Musa Hassan Dabuto join his beloved father in the village to give him a helping hands for 12 years, From where he gained admission with the prestigious institution of learning (Federal College of Education Jalingo, Taraba State), to study Education as a profession in the year 2000. He did his Teaching practice (T.P) in Gulungo Primary School in the year 2002, and then graduated with National Certificate in Education (NCE) in the year 2004. Based on his extraordinary performance in academics he was employed with Primary School Teaching Service Commission Adamawa State (PSTSC) in the same year he graduated from FCE Jalingo, Taraba State, as a class room teacher in his Alma-mater (Sintri Tumpa primary school school). After 4years of his dedication to his primary assignment, he was promoted with an immediate effect as the headmaster of the school. That same year, Mallam Musa Hassan Dabuto wrote a voluntary retirement to venture into a full term politics, unlike most politicians which decide to take a leave without pay as an option.

Early Political Career Musa Hassan Dabuto first ventured into politics in the year 2004, after his voluntary retirement with Primary School Teaching service Commission Adamawa State(PSTSC). According to Ribadu (2018) Musa Hassan Dabuto is the fastest growing politician in the history of Song Local Government Area.
In 2004 Musa Hassan Dabuto contested for the political position of Councilor representing Gudu-Mboi ward under the umbrella of PDP, and he was emerged victorious, due to his charisma and unique leadership qualities, he was elected as the Deputy Speaker of the council in (2004-2007). Under the distinguish administration of Dr. Mustapha Saidu, he was appointed as supervisory Councilor on works and housing (2007-2009), history has it that the appointment was based on merit. In 2009 Musa Hassan Dabuto was found worthy to pilot the affairs of People's Democratic Party (PDP) as the Chairman party Song Local Government Area (2009-2012). In 2012 Musa Hassan Dabuto decamped from People's Democratic Party (PDP) to All progressive Congress (APC), as an expert in the field of politics and administration, APC welcome him with the seat of Chairman Party Song Local Government for a Year (2012-2013) under the administration of Murtala
Hammanyaro Nyako, he was appointed to administer the affairs of Mboi Development Area for only (6 months). Musa Hassan Dabuto was the pioneer of the Development Area as accounted.
In 2015 Musa Hassan Dabuto was appointed as the Special Adviser on mobilization under the distinguish Administration of Umar Jibrilla Bindo, he was later appointed as Board Member on forestry research institute of Ibadan, Nigeria (2016-2019). In 2021, Dabuto was re-elected as the APC Chairman Party Song Local Government Area. His Victory got the whole talking, by living his opponent with only 8 votes only.
Traditional Title In 2018, Dabuto was given the chieftaincy title: JAURO of His home town Peyazi, by the Distinguish District Head of Mboi. Honors In 2019 Dabuto was honoured with a Doctorate Award by the prestigious institution of learning (Institute of Human and Natural Resources). In 2022 Dabuto was honoured with an award of excellence as best performing APC Chairman by DMG (Dabuto Media Group).

Dr. Musa Hassan Dabuto, taught and trained pupils during his service with Primary School Teaching service Commission Adamawa State (PSTSC) in his primary place of assignment in Sintri Tumpa primary school, many of them are servicing directors in various ministries and parastatals at all levels of the Government. 2. Dr .Musa Hassan Dabuto has facilitate employment of youths in Song Local Government at all levels which reduced unemployment rate. 3. As an expert in the field of politics and administration, he has trained grassroots politicians, some whom have served as Councilors of various wards in Song Local Government and other political offices. 4. Dr. Musa Hassan Dabuto has made sure that he has delivered the votes of Song Local Government Area under his leadership both PDP and in APC. 5. Dr. Musa Hassan Dabuto has never for once completed a year without holding a political appointment or being elected among others.
