editVestberg was the chairman of the Swedish Handball Federation from 2007 to 2016.[1][2][3] He left the Swedish Handball Federation to serve as president of the Swedish Olympic Committee from 2016 to 2018 as the country vied to host the 2026 Winter Olympics.[4][2][5] Vestberg had previously played semipro handball in Brazil.[4]
Personal life
editVestberg is married and has two children.[4] Vestberg is multilingual; he is fluent in Swedish, English, Spanish, and Portuguese.[4]
