Namibian Teachers stuggle with "the universal language"
editMost of us are where we are today because of our ex-teachers. "I believe that the teaching profession is the mother of all professions". About twenty two thousand Teachers wrote an English proficiency test in Namibia. Only a thousand passed very well and about 98% of them were found not to be 100% English literate.
TEST OUTCOME
edit1.Excellent
editThe test showed that this teachers only struggle with grammer and punctuations.
2.Average
editThe teachers in this category lacked critical thinking and proper analytical skills.
3.Weak
editPoor result. A large of teachers in this category failed to complete forms properly, about personal information such as their names and age.[1]
In conclusion, the english test results may be something that should get us thinking as a nation for possible improvements and a possibility of sending our teachers for further training in the English language.[2]
