Vanya Kokosharova (Dimitrova) is a Bulgarian coloratura soprano.
Born 15 January 1941 in Pleven, Bulgaria.
Studied at the State Musical Academy of Bulgaria, 1961-1966 in the class of Professor Hristo Brumbarov.
In the period from 1966 to 1996 was a soloist performer in the company of the Varna State Opera in Bulgaria.
Studied with Professor Brandt in Vienna and performed in the Vienna State Opera in 1972.

As a soloist of the Varna Opera toured and performed in: Bologna (The Golden Cockerel), Madrid and Valencia (The Golden Cockerel), Paris, Odessa (television recording of Rigoletto and concert), Vorkuta and Syktyvkar (concerts), Kosice, Bratislava and Prague.
Varna summer festival award of recognition, performing with Peter Glossop.
Decorated by the 2-nd Class Medal of the Grand Cross of Cyril and Methodius, 1976.
