Till very recently, it is believed that we had no civilization before the Advent of Aryans.but the remains unearthed in the Indus reagion disproved this brief.in 1875 sir Alexander Cunningham discovered a seal with image of bull at Harappa.further the excavations confected at Harappa in the Montgomery district of Punjab in 1921 under Dayarram sahni at mohenjadaro( mound of the dead) in larkhana district of Sund in 1922 under R.D.Banerjee under the able gauidence of sir John Marshall, reveal the existence of a highly advanced civilization in India about 3000B.C
