- Notes on Proposal B.6: SNG criteria support reasonable presumptions of notability of Wikipedia:Notability/RFC:compromise.
This is a collection of notes for a further expansion and refinement of the proposal.
- Be more explicit in asserting that sources still need to be found.
- Encourage truly measurable and constructive discussion on sourcing.
- A third-party reliable source needs to be provided to prove that SNG criteria are met.
- SNGs need to be vetted and endorsed by a broad consensus (or wide community input) to be viable.
- SNGs are broad inclusion criteria indicating what Wikipedia should cover, though many subjects will not receive stand-alone articles.
- Explicitly state that merge targets should not only be articles one step up, but also an article with clearly established notability or a daughter list of an article with clearly established notability.
- Qualifying articles without a valid merge target are subject to deletion or userfication.
