Aaron L. Lucius is an NSF-Funded Biophysicist at the University of Alabama at Birmingham working in the area of motor proteins and molecular chaperones.

Personal Life

Aaron L. Lucius, a Hispanic-American, was born to Lucius accepted the position of Assistant Professor at the University of Alabama at Birmingham in the Summer of 2006. He completed his B.S. in Biochemistry and Biophysics at Oregon State University in 1998, followed by his Ph.D. in Molecular Biophysics while in Tim Lohman's lab at the Washington University School of Medicine in 2003. After completion his Ph.D., Lucius took a position as a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, TX from 2003 until the time he came to the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
