I live in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, and in October 2006, I was hired as a Senior Technical Writer by WorleyParsons Komex (formerly known as Komex International), a 500-employee engineering firm acquired by Worley in January 2006.
On 13 Nov 2007, I was asked to serve as Marketing Director - Canada, for WorleyParsons Komex. The company took on a new brand identity in July 2008: WorleyParsons Infrastructure & Environment. It is now called Advisian. I resigned in March 2013.
In January 2014 I started as a client relationship manager with ComplyWorks, a SaaS (software-as-a-service) provider of web-based compliance and safety management solutions. I was laid off in March 2016.
From Mar 2017 to Feb 2018 I worked in client technical support at an Apple-centric MSP (managed service provider), Berti Group.
From Nov 2020 to Sep 2021 I worked as an IT Support Specialist with another MSP, Evolution IT. From Sep 2021 to March 2022 I was a technical writer at WestJet, and at Frequency Foundry from March 2022 until February 2023, when I was laid off. From Aug-Dec 2023, I was a school photographer with Lifetouch Canada. I currently take on freelance photography and videography assignments.
