Slide 2:

My name is Vitor Aquino da Silva dos Santos, also known as “Aquino” or “Showman”. I’m a Kickboxing and MMA fighter. I started martial arts when I was 11, inspired by my father. Initially, my idea was to lose weight and learn self-defense, Although I had competed in Jiu-Jitsu a few times at the time, at 15 I decided I would become the best. From then on, I started competing more often and dedicated myself fully, hours and hours each day.

Today I’m at the top 5 in Latin America in my weight class and rank in Kickboxing, and I’m looking for new challenges moving to MMA.

Kickboxing

Still at 16 I started taking Kickboxing lessons (the martial art I identify myself with the most).

Slide 4:

Jiu-Jitsu

Jiu-Jitsu was the first martial art I ever tried at 11 years old. Though I have competed very little in this sport, most of my philosophy and ethics come from the Gentle Art, since my father is a black belt in BJJ himself.

Titles • 3rd place at Paulista Championship FPJJ • Top Fighter Cup Champion

Slide 5:

Muay Thay

Record: 6W 2L

At 15 years of age, after watching some of Anderson Silva’s fights in the UFC, I developed an interest for stand-up fighting. The first discipline I started training was Muay Thay.

Slide 6:

Boxing

Olympic Boxing Record: 4W 0L

At 16, I started training Cuban Boxing, the modality which dictates my fighting style till this day.

Main Title: Paulista Championship - Sao Paulo, Brazil.

MMA

Currently I’m stepping out of my comfort zone, seeking new challenges in MMA. I’m only getting started but I’m already fighting in one of the biggest events in the country, Shoto Brasil.

Slide 8:

“Martial arts have taught me about humility, respect, discipline, empathy, overcoming and resilience. Everything that I’ve learned on the mat and in the ring, I apply outside of it.”
