I am nuts about the WRX series of Impreza 'model' cars from Subaru. Since the car became available in Canada in 2002 I've owned one. My most recent WRX is a 2004 special edition (sunroof, special cloth on the seats) with a JDM EJ207 engine swapped in place of the stock EJ205. The swap was professionally done with an elaborate AWD dynamometer system to run the car through it's ranges so it would be tuned perfectly for the 94 octane gas available in North America.
I've also got 36 years of experience in general 'technical work' involving anything/everything that was close enough to take apart and put back together. If I chime in it will always be my best attempt to stick to facts I can cite if needed.
