Ngove Hotspurs Football Club

The Club was founded in the late 1990s by a group of players that btoke away from Mapantsula in 1998 it was officially launched as Ngove Young Tigers.

Notable former players are Hendric Maluleke, Phanuel Khumbuza, Wire Mashele, late Jiza Mabunda, late Veli Mabunda, Chayani Mabunda and Collen Maswanganyi.

The Club went defunct in 2004 and in 2006 Phanuel Khumbuza came back from 2forjoy its been 7 years since he joined Ngove Leeds, he renaimed it TSUNAMI FC and use to attract crowds who can forget Mavicsen aka Tshetsha who use to score and celebrate by dancing the famous Tshetsha Dance.

TSUNAMI too went defunct in 2010 and in 2014 Simon Khumbuza who is a younger brother of Phanuel Khumbuza started it from scratch now as Ngove Young tigers still attracted crowds and won some few tournaments and even took parts in the preliminary round of the GGM Mayors cup in 2016.

In 2017 Walter Musiya joined the club citing exercise reasons and staying fit he played sone few practice matches up until when the club hosted a 3 team mini tournament he was selected captain but retired only few mins to the game against Mapantsula xl and appointed himself a coach, history was made that day Walter who is a former player of Coach Simon was coaching his coach on the day and together won the top 3 tournament after the tournament Walter was nowhere to be found he quit football once again.

In 2018 January Coach Simon with almost the whole senior team joined Ngove leeds leaving the u15 boys behind without a coach Thapelo Piet Khumbuza, Walter's cousin and Simon Khumbuza's nephew begged Walter for over 4 months over a potential move to Young tigers but the answer was "am done with football.

Eventually in April 2018 Walter accepted the proposal and joined Young tigers but after a meeting with the players they agreed to change the name and 3 names was brought forward.

The players voted for Ngove Hotspurs and thats how the club was refounded on the 23rd of April 2018.

The Club have now gone 50 tournaments

23 finals 15 victories 89 matches 55 wins 30 losses 4 draws
