Mike Whaley (born September 18th, 1982) is an American actor, writer and director best known for his roles in critically acclaimed series as Under the Dome (2013), Atlanta (2016), Homeland (2011) and Army Wives (2007).
Early years
editMike Whaley spent his youth in Charleston, South Carolina. Already in his creative arts elementary school, his passion for acting became clear. He was part of the SPACE acting programme for five summers. During middle school, he studied acting for three months in Stratford-Upon-Avon in England, UK at the prestigious Royal Shakespeare Theater, as part of the acting company at CYC Charleston Youth Company Performance group.
He attended the Florida State University School of Theater.
Career
editBesides series, Mike Whaley appeared in many nationally aired commercials. For one of these, he won an Effie Award for his performance as the Walmart Low Price Guarantee campaign spokesman, in 2013.
